Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 38
Week 38

By Kelli Mahoney, About.com

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

Matthew 6;1 - "Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven."(NIV)

Application for Christian Teens:

Christian teens often do things to please their friends, and it's part of every teen's life. People crave the accolades that others give when we do good things. However, the Bible reminds us that doing good things so our friends and family can see doesn't matter as much as what God can see. The best rewards are given to us by God, and it is His praise that should motivate us, not what anyone else around us thinks.
