Bible Verses on Patience

By

Bible verses on patience can help us get through some of the toughest times, because they remind us that not everything happens instantaneously. We're often on God's timeline. We also have to show patience to others, especially when they are being quite trying on us. Here are some Bible verses on patience that teach us a little bit about the spiritual discipline.

Patience in Times of Trouble

When we're facing stress or troubling times, we can often lose our patience with God. We get tired of waiting for God to move. It happens. It's not easy to wait for God to work on His timeline rather than ours.

Psalm 37:7-9
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage!
