Making God Real to Others

Monday September 28, 2009

As Christians we are told week after week to go out and share the Gospel with others. Sure, but spouting off scripture often sounds like you're spending every last free moment with your nose in the Bible. That may work for some people, but good witnessing isn't just about quoting Bible verses. It's about making God real to people, and that begins with your story.

Sharing your testimony can seem daunting. There are so many facets of your relationship with God, so where do you start? The easiest place to start is from your heart. Where does your relationship with God start? Why do you have a relationship with God? Sometimes just writing your testimony down on paper helps.

Yet putting down your testimony on paper isn't just about witnessing. Writing down how we feel about God, why we believe, is a great way for us to reinforce our own relationship with the Lord. Try it. See how it works for you. Then share your testimony with the world.
