Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 49
Week 49

By , About.com Guide

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

Romans 12:19 - "Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, 'I will take revenge; I will pay them back,' says the Lord." (NLT)

Application for Christian Teens:

Sometimes it is hard for us to forgive others, especially when they have done us so great a wrong. If we let that anger fester, we usually end up with a desire for revenge. Yet, God is clear that revenge remains in His hands. We don't always know what form His revenge may come in, but we need to trust that God will take care of us and handle it. Reflect this week on what anger you are holding onto and give it over to God.
