Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 47
Week 47

By , About.com Guide

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

Psalm 27:1 - "The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?" (NLT)

Application for Christian Teens:

Oh, how we let fear control our lives. How many times have you kept your faith to yourself for fear that your friends would judge you? How many times have you let fear hold you back? God does not want us going through our lives afraid. He is there to be our rock. He is our strength when we just don't think we have any. Does that mean we can go off and do something stupid and think God will not allow us to get hurt? No. However, if we live for Him and in His will, then God tells us that he can help us overcome our fears.
