One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.
Memory Verse:
Psalm 118:5 - "In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free."(NLT)
Application for Christian Teens:
Where do you turn when you run into hard times? Many Christian teens turn to friends and family when things get rough, but then forget to turn to the Lord with their pleas. God provides great support, though not always the answers we want. We need to be careful with this verse that we do not read into it that God will give in to our every whim. Instead we need to understand that God is our greatest support in times of need. He consoles and warms us in hard times. He laughs and shares our joy in good times. He will provide what we need, even if we did not know we needed it. Yet we cannot assume He will give us whatever we want, but rather what we need. It is up to us to turn to Him and trust Him with our every need.
