Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 32
Week 32

By , About.com Guide

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

Matthew 20:26 - "But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, "(NLT)

Application for Christian Teens:

This verse comes after the other disciples grow angry over the mother of James and John's mother asks that her sons sit on Jesus' sides in the Kingdom. He explains that, to be a leader, one must also be a servant. It means that true leadership comes from helping others rather than helping ourselves. Look around you at the leaders that have inspired you. Are they self-serving or have they gone out of their way to help you and others? Most likely you respect them for what they have done for other people. We all need to strive to be leaders like that.
