Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 29
Week 29

By Kelli Mahoney, About.com

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

1 Peter 4:14 - "Count it a blessing when you suffer for being a Christian. This shows that God's glorious Spirit is with you."(CEV)

Application for Christian Teens:

No one said that being a Christian teen is always easy. When you proclaim your faith you also set yourself up for criticism and opposition. There are times when you will face people who call you names or want to physically harm you for your faith. There are also times when choosing the right thing causes you pain. For instance, a friend may get upset with you for telling the truth. You may find yourself alone on a Saturday night, because you didn't want to go to a party where there would be drinking or drugs. However, God does reward you for putting your focus on Him rather than on earthly desires. In the end, keep your eyes on the Lord, because there is glory and peace to be found in Him
