Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 25
Week 25

By Kelli Mahoney, About.com

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

1 John 1:9 - "But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away."(CEV)

Application for Christian Teens:

Continuing on our discussion of talking to God about our troubles and our sin, 1 John reminds us once again that God is there to help us. In this passage, we are able to focus on the fact that we can trust God above all others. Sometimes Christian teens are coping with problems that they do not feel comfortable sharing with others. Yet God listens and loves us no matter what. We know He values honesty and we know he offers forgiveness. We just need to trust in Him and tell him the things we hold deep inside.
