Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 20
Week 20

By Kelli Mahoney, About.com

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

Matthew 26:28 - "This is my blood, and with it God makes his agreement with you. It will be poured out, so that many people will have their sins forgiven."(NLT)

Application for Christian Teens:

We all sin. No Christian teen is without it. While the idea that we all commit sins against God may be discouraging, there is hope. At the Lord's Supper, or Last Supper as some may call it, Jesus talked about the sacrifice he was going to make in order for all of us to have our sins forgiven. His blood was spilled as part of a covenant with God to save all of us. Thus, Christian teens need to strive to live their lives as sin free as possible. We should strive to be like Christ. However, it is also comforting to know that, due to Christ's sacrifice, we are able to find grace from God for our wrongdoings.
