Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 19
Week 19

By Kelli Mahoney, About.com

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

1 Peter 2:12 - "Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world."(NLT)

Application for Christian Teens:

How Christian teens act has a number of consequences. While some Christian teens believe their behavior only matters to themselves, in fact it reflects on both Christians as a whole and other teens. It is important that Christians set an example to those around them, because godly behavior allows people to see how good God really is. It will also allow people to be more forgiving if you do something wrong, as we all do from time to time. Still, the greatest reward for godly behavior is the honor given by God for setting that positive example.
