Christian Teens' Memory Verse of the Week 15
Week 15

By , About.com Guide

One great way for Christian teens to grow in their faith is to memorize and apply Bible verses to their lives. While Christians should be reading their Bibles every day, memorizing Bible verses is a great way to incorporate what you read into your daily life.

Memory Verse:

2 Peter 1:5 - "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge"(NIV)

Application for Christian Teens:

Most Christian teens have listened for years to the lectures and sermons telling them to be good. The Golden Rule tends to be engraved on most of our brains. However, without knowledge, we may not know how to be good. While Christian teens may think that common sense will tell you if something is good or not, only the Lord really knows the difference. Reading the Bible regularly and praying will help guide you toward goodness. In your prayers this week ask God to give you a heart to discern the difference between what is good and what is not in His eyes rather than your own.
