Sunday Scripture: Matthew 11:28

Matthew 11:28 - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (NIV)

Where do you go when things get tough? We often turn to friends, family, teachers, pastors, and other people before we turn to God. Why isn't he the one we go to first? Too often we forget that it is God that can provide more than anyone or anything in our world provides. He is the one that, when we are exhausted from whatever we are facing, can give us the peace we so desire.

As we face the storms that seem to brew in our lives from time to time, let us remember to turn our hearts and minds to God. Let us allow Him into our lives and open ourselves up to the peace He provides. Let us remember His promise to us.
