Job 12:7-10 - ""But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."" (NIV)

Christians who love their pets know that they have so many things to teach us. There is unabashed joy in a dog's being when his owner comes from from a long day away. There is the independent nature of a cat, who shows us that we don't need the approval of others to be satisfied with ourselves. Yet, while these behaviors may seem so primal or individual, they are truly gifts from God.

Critics of animal lovers like to say that they are just animals, but Christians know differently. God gave us these creatures to teach us about His love, His provisions, and how we relate to one another. The food chain is a sign of how God designed everything to be dependent on everything else. The nature of animals teaches us about our own behaviors, and our pet's dependence on us teaches us about our dependence upon God.

I would love to get informed of your activities and ideas from your girls as they are all teens no matter where they are from. I see that you fight the same battle against THE SCREEN (tv, comp, i pod etc) I really appreciate your help here and pray that the Lord keep you and shine upon you and your girls His grace and peace!
