Sunday Scripture: Hebrews 6:10

Sunday July 12, 2009

Hebrews 6:10 - "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." (NIV)

God is always watching, and he never forgets. While that thought can be quite daunting, because, face it, there are just some things we all would love to forget. Yet, God is also remembers all the good things. He is forgiving and kind, and encourages us to live a life of faith and love.

Hebrews 6:10 is not designed as a Big Brother type statement. It's not a "God is watching so you better be good" warning. It's a statement of encouragement to live our lives the way God asks us to. It's saying that God has great blessings for us if we let our faith guide us in ways that show his love and help others.
