Who Is This "Santa Claus" Guy Anyhow?

This is the time of year that Santa seems to be on every street corner. Yet, how did we get to where this man in a red suit became such a symbol of Christmas, and how does Santa relate to Christ being the reason for Christmas?.
Well, each country seems to have a different version of Santa Claus, but many of them have begun to look more and more like the "Jolly Ol' Saint Nick" we see throughout America. Each version of Santa Claus seems to have a common theme of teaching children around the world that being good is important and that acts of giving and charity are important parts of the season..
So, while Santa has become secularized in our society, the underlying lessons Santa, Sinterklaus, or even Pere Noel can teach are very Christian. Think about the Christian values Santa embodies this season and try to be one who gives and cares about others this year.
