Fasting for World Hunger

Tuesday May 20, 2008

A group of teens in Battle Creek, MI went hungry for 30 hours this past weekend in order to raise awareness and pray for hungry people around the world. According to the Battle Creek Enquirer, the group from Faith Baptist Church spent their weekend hours in study, prayer, and worship instead of eating. The group raised money for World Vision, which raises awareness and fights against poverty and injustice. This group chose to combine a traditional fast with doing good for the world around them.
