Kelli's Christian Teens BlogWhat's the Big Deal About Dating? All the flowers and chocolates floating around this Valentine's Day puts love on the mind of most Christian teens. Yet some Christian teens struggle with whether to even date or not. Some Christians believe dating should be reserved until such a time as marriage is a realistic consideration. Others believe that dating is nothing more than a weeding out process. Yet, the Bible has a lot to say about love, and it is full of advice for teens thinking about dating. While the Bible does not prohibit dating, it does tell us that Christian dating is different than what the world tells us about developing love relationships. Ask yourself if your date shares your values. Make sure you take dating seriously, and that the person you date enhances your faith rather than makes you walk away from your values. Also, find places to go on dates that help you avoid temptations. Love is a powerful gift, so make sure you share it in a Godly way.
